A betegbiztonság egyik legfontosabb témaköre, és egyben az Európai Betegségmegelőző és Járványügyi Központ (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) egyik kiemelt prioritása a nozokomiális fertőzések, illetve a multirezisztens kórokozók kialakulásának megelőzése, melyek az infekciókontroll módszereivel valósíthatók meg. Az eredményes infekciókontroll többszakmás együttműködést igényel, melyben egyaránt fontos szerepe van a klinikusnak, az infektológusnak, a mikrobiológusnak, illetve a kórházi epidemiológusnak, és elengedhetetlen a menedzsment határozott támogatása.

Abstract:

Prevention of nosocomial infections and of the spread of multi drug resistant organisms is currently a main issue of patient safety, it is priority of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control and can be achieved by infection control measures. Effective infection control requires a multidisciplinary collaboration between clinicians, infection disease specialist, microbiologist and hospital epidemiologist as well as strong managerial support.
