Absztrakt:

Az erektilis diszfunkció (ED) a férfi populáció idősödésével mind gyakoribbá válik. Ugyancsak gyakoribb a kardiovaszkuláris betegségek előfordulása. Az ED gyógyításának lehetősége (sildenafil, 1998) megjelenése az ED szélesebb kutatását eredményezte világszerte. Az ED-ről bizonyossá vált, hogy a leggyakrabban vaszkulogenetikus eredetű és rizikófaktorai azonosak az ismert kardiovaszkuláris betegségekével. Az ED-ben szenvedő betegek az esetek egy részében kardiológiai vizsgálatra szorulnak.
