Absztrakt:

Az egészségügyi ellátással összefüggő fertőzések jelentősen növelik a kórházi költségeket, a hosszabb kórházi benntartózkodás, a többlet-gyógyszer, diagnosztikus, illetve esetleges beavatkozásokkal kapcsolatos költségek révén. Az infekciókontroll feladata, a megelőzhető, egészségügyi ellátással összefüggő fertőzések kialakulásának megakadályozása. Az infekciókontroll tevékenység befektetést igényel, viszont a megelőzött fertőzések jelentős megtakarítást eredményeznek, nő a betegbiztonság, illetve a betegelégedettség.

Abstract:

Healthcare associated infections increase hospital costs due to longer hospital stay, additional medica – tions and diagnostics or further interventions. The task of infection control is to prevent avoidable healthcare associated infections. Infection control activity needs funding, but prevented infections save money, improve patient safety and satisfaction.
